For my graduation project I illustrated a children's book focussing on the less fun feelings a child can feel, like sadness or restlessness. A lot of children's books only display the happy sides of life, while children encounter sad feelings too. I wanted to make a change by illustrating poems to explore those negative emotions. Five bears, each one depicting an emotion, will guide the reader through this. The character of the book is playful yet serious.
This project is also selected as one of the best 20 graduation projects for the Dutch Design Yearbook of 2020. A big honour!
