Today’s culture often promotes the sayings ‘follow your heart’ or ‘follow your feelings’, but is that really a smart thing to do? Our feelings fluctuate daily and besides, are subjective. It’s no coincidence the Bible warns for this by calling to protect the heart – Proverbs 4:23. This became the inspiration for this mural. 

The bold coloured mural depicts the downside of emotions and getting carried away in them. By doing this in a joyful and humorous way, it allows me to make the subject much more accessible. Emotions, and especially the less fun ones, form regularly the core of my work.
