To celebrate the 50 year anniversary of Almere, I was asked by Ymere to make an artwork for their office!

In this artwork, we wanted to show what it’s like to live here. The nature, efficient public transport, iconic landscapes, but also intrusive seagulls and abandoned waste. As Ymere is an housing corporation, there was a special focus on the buildings they own in Almere. Do you recognise them?
